Family Medicine Clerkship |
Our clerkship offers a variety of opportunities for out-of-state third and fourth year medical students. Students will experience the breadth of practice that family physicians encounter daily.
Experiences Available
Students can choose to experience one or all of the following: morning family practice rounds, hospital admissions, residency clinic time, time with community family practice doctors, Doctor Day at the state capitol, or rural experiences in small towns and on the Indian Reservation.
Call
Night and weekend call is optional on this rotation.
Community
Students will also have ample opportunity to experience the majestic North Dakota outdoors. Depending on the season, students may choose to experience kayaking, boating, water-skiing, and fishing on the Missouri River or biking/jogging along Bismarck’s miles of trails, hunting for small and large game animals, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and skiing.
Benefits
The majority of the noon lunches will be provided based upon lecture schedule.
