Jeff Andersen - M.D.
Dr. Andersen graduated from the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences in 2005. He received the North Dakota Board of Higher Education Tuition Waiver, the McGraw-Hill Book Award and the Ray F. Duggan Memorial Scholarship. Dr. Andersen's undergraduate degree is from NDSU, Fargo, North Dakota, where he received the Outstanding Microbiology Student of the Year Award in 2001. His past research experience includes work with primary cutaneous B-cell lymphoma at the Mayo Clinic Department of Dermatology, an epidemiology project at the UND School of Medicine that determined the relative risk associated with various risk factors for having an infant of low birth weight, and he served as a Research Assistant at the UND Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology studying a rat model of Alzheimer's disease. Outside of medicine, he enjoys reading. Usual materials include fiction, creative non-fiction, philosophy, and literary magazines. Dr. Andersen enjoys traveling both domestically and abroad. Other interests include attending live music events, playing basketball and working on old cars.

Emiliya Hill - M.D.
Dr. Hill graduated from Alma-Atinskij State Medical Institute, Almaty, Kazakhstan in 1981. She worked in the U.S.S.R. as a Staff Pediatrician, Department of Pediatric Infections at the Semipalatinsk Regional Children's Hospital and then the Central Republic Pediatric Hospital diagnosing and treating children's diseases prior to coming to the United States. She also published an article regarding salmonella infections in adolescent children. Dr. Hill is fluent in Russian, Tatar, Kazakh (in addition to English) and enjoys ballet, kayaking, and collecting antiques. Dr. Hill's family has now joined her in the move to Bismarck, ND from Minnesota, and her son is attending college here locally.

Richa Kaushik - M.D.
Dr. Kaushik graduated from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India in 1993. After graduation, she completed a Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Kaushik furthered her career as a Research Officer in the Department of Surgery, All India Institute, conducting clinical trials regarding chemotherapy and breast cancer. Dr. Kaushik served as a Surgical Volunteer at the Mubarak Al Kabir Hospital, Kuwait, and was a Microsurgery Research Fellow at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kaushik is fluent in Hindi (in addition to English) and enjoys puzzles and crossword solving. Dr. Kaushik's husband is a Rheumatologist employed with St. Alexius Medical Center and they have two young daughters. The family relocated to Bismarck from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Niral Patel - M.D.
Dr. Patel graduated from Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College/University of Mumbai, India in 2004. During his time there, he was a Member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Bombay (MCPS). Dr. Patel has a specialty interest in Pediatrics and past research experience with the Wockhard & Harvard Aids Research Foundation. Dr. Patel is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi (in addition to English) and enjoys adventure sports. Dr. Patel and his wife relocated to Bismarck from Delaware.
