CLINICAL SERVICES
The UND Center for Family Medicine offers a complete realm of Clinical Services for You & Your Family
General Medicine: Complete physicals, care for a wide array of medical conditions involving all systems of the body, same day office visits, laceration repair, and treatment for skin conditions. Sports and employment physicals. Counseling and geriatrics.
Pediatric Care: Well and sick child care, immunizations, parenting advice, normal development, and newborn hospital care.
Obstetrics & Gynecology: Maternity care and delivery. We also provide pap testing, breast exams, birth control services, and evaluation and management of abnormal pap smears (Colposcopy).
In-Office Procedures: Cryosurgery, removal of warts and moles, pulsed-light laser therapy for a variety of skin care disorders, colonoscopy (colon cancer screening), stress EKG and pulmonary function tests, fracture care, and an in-office laboratory and computed radiography (x-ray).

FAMILY MEDICINE
Family Medicine Specialty
Family Medicine is a medical specialty with personalized medical care for your entire family. The family physician not only treats your illness, but looks for opportunities to help you improve your health. The spectrum of family medicine includes: care during pregnancy and childbirth, infant care, childhood and adolescent care, women’s health care, men’s health care, individual and family counseling, care of minor injuries, laboratory testing, home visits, appropriate consultations and/or referrals to other specialists.

Medical Service Expertise
The UND Center for Family Medicine is part of the Family Practice Residency Program with the Department of Family Medicine, University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Our physicians are Board Certified Family Practitioners. We also supervise, as faculty members of the UND School of Medicine, Residents who have earned their Doctorate of Medicine Degrees and are specializing in Family Medicine.

FREE Patient Parking
Patient Parking is FREE in the Parking Ramp (we are located in the Parkade Building in downtown Bismarck)and at all Bismarck Park & Shop locations.
We are also accessible via the local routes for the CAT (Capital Area Transit), the Bis-Man Transit, and Taxi 9000.

Appointments, Office Hours, After Hours Emergency
You may make an appointment with your UND Center for Family Medicine physician by calling the office during office hours at (701)751-9500 or toll-free at 1-866-870-0464.
We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call our office for evening and weekend convenience hours. Our physicians are available 24 hours a day.
Your physician is a member of a team. If your physician is unavailable, another physician will see you. Because nurses are also assigned to the team, the team nurse will be able to assist you directly in meeting your health care needs.
If you need to change your scheduled appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. For unexpected problems that need immediate attention, we will make every effort to give you an appointment with your physician as soon as possible. Should your physician not be in, arrangements will be made for you to be seen by another team physician.
A UND Center for Family Medicine Physician is On-Call 24 hours a day. During the hours when the center is closed, please call Medcenter One (323-6000) or St. Alexius Medical Center (530-7000) and ask for the UND Center for Family Medicine Physician On-Call.
MEDICAL RECORDS
Your medical records are the property of the UND Center for Family Medicine. The content of your medical record is released only with your hand-written consent. Information is released with your written consent. Information in your medical chart is confidential.
NO INFORMATION IS RELEASED WITHOUT YOUR SIGNED AUTHORIZATION
PAYMENT POLICY
We accept assignments of insurance benefits and will prepare and file insurance claims at no charge to you. Please present your insurance identification card at each visit to certify coverage. Medicare and Medicaid assignments are accepted.
To help keep costs down, we ask that you pay for services not covered by insurance at the time of your visit. When this is not possible, patients are encouraged to discuss the account with the Business Office to make arrangements for payment. Call 751-9505 regarding any health insurance and/or billing questions.
Our fees generally reflect the fees of family physicians within our community. Our fees for services are an agreement between you and the UND Center for Family Medicine. Health insurance is a third party to this agreement. Regardless of the action of your insurance company, payment of fees for service is your responsibility.
The UND Center for Family Medicine participates and accepts assignment for North Dakota Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Products through Medcenter One and St. Alexius Medical Center including: PPO, EPO, Select Choice through Medcenter One and St. Alexius, Care Choice, Blue Choice, North Dakota Medicare and Medicaid, and all other insurance carriers.
